Another Cam Question???
I'm getting a new cam for my car
Specs are as follows: Intake Duration - 224.0
Exhaust - 224.2 Valve Lift: Intake - 0.562 Exhaust - 0.562 Lobe Separation Angle 111.70
I'll be running this with STOCK everything (except for exhaust) I'm pretty under educated
in the cam world, what can I expect from this???? Will I need anything else (heads)????

Re: Another Cam Question???
Looking at the specs, your getting the TR-224 on a 112 LSA.
Lots of folks here using that cam. Should do well with your M6 car.
However, you wont reap the best benifits from that cam until you put a set of headers on it. You really need the headers.
If you ever plan on a set of ported heads in the future, that cam will also work very well and won't need to be changed out with the new heads.

Re: Another Cam Question???
Use the "search" button on the top of the page. Type in: TR224 or TR-224
You will find lots and lots of info from previous posts on that cam.

Re: Another Cam Question???
What headers does everyone suggest? Should I go with an off road y pipe? My only exhaust mod so far is just catback??? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="gr_emb.gif" />

Re: Another Cam Question???
Cheapest route for very good long tube headers is Hooker. These can now be purchased with the Jet-Hot ceramic coating direct from Jet-Hot.

(Quote from Jet-Hot) (mini-GP going on now)
"The price for the Hooker long tube headers, coated in & out with the sterling silver ceramic finish is $548 to your door (normal is $580). The coated Off Road Y-Pipe is $211.60 to your door (normal is $248). The headers come with the O2 extension wires, O2 sensor bungs installed, AIR and EGR tubes, bolts and gaskets."

Only problem with the Hooker headers is that the Y-Pipe will not accept cats. If your state requires you to have cats, you will need to look elsewhere for headers.
Good Luck,
Ron
