Hey guys, I've done multiple searches on this, so don't ream me out <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
I have the Corvette assembly for a sending unit for that spot above the oil filter (on F-bodies it needs to be drilled and tapped).
Anyways, i've seen posts describing a) installing oil temp sender here (ie. the ss gauge pod site) and b) installing oil pressure sender here (LS1 monte carlo conversion site).
Is it possible to install both here with a T fitting? and if not, and I were to install the oil pressure unit here......where would be an alternate site for the oil temperature sender?
Keep in mind, i'm also installing the water temperature sender too.
Thanks,
Mike

Sorry can't help you, but I am most interested in the answers. I have the exact same questions. I was thinking of doing the T and running both oil pressure and temp there as well. As far as water temp I know there is a place above #8 cylinder but I think it has metric threads. I have heard some guys install it inline to one of the water feed hoses, but I have no idea whether this is a good idea or not.
TTT for YA.

I have the metric adapter (from Equs (sp)?) I got from autobarn for the water temp sender....so thats ok. I think the same adapter is used in the corvette connection as well, but I am wondering about the oil temp and oil pressure specifically.
TTT and thanks.

There`s a freeze plug above the starter for the water temp sender. No metric adapter neccessary and about a thousand times easier to get at than by the #8 cylinder.
Not sure about the oil.

I am workig on getting a T fitting that will go in place of the factory one that I can run a sending unit off of as well as the factory unit (dont ask, I am going toru them both for comparisons sake). My big problem is with the H2O sending unit. If I read the above post right, there is a spot above the starter that I can the plug out of and then just plug the autometer one in? Is this right?

NataSS.. yes you take the freeze plug out (watch out for radiator fluid some will leak out) and replace it with one of the adapters that comes with the Autometer gauges, then screw the sender into that and run the wire to the gauge.
Hope you have an impact for that freeze plug.. mine was in there good <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

OK I looked at both of those install proceedures and they both have a different sending unit than I have the Autometer 2 5/8 liquid filled full sweep water temp guage. It has one solid line off the back of the gauge. That line goes directly to a sending unit that is permenantly attached to the line. the sending unit has a huge addaptor around the sending unit that cant be removed. Will this one work with the freeze plug? I just want to make sure before I get under the car, pull it apart and then find out it wont work.
