Default Cam gurus inside

Thinking about a custom grind, kinda a combo/derivitive of the TR236 and TRak cam.
Something along the lines of 236/230 .630-.640/.590ish. Just wondering how this would run with an A4, 4k stall, 3.73's, full bolt ons, Fast 90/90, and eventually maybe some TFS heads milled for at least 11.1 compression.

Whatcha think?

Looks interesting. Would probably LOVE the nitrous when I decide to spray it.

you think it would have more area under the curve than the X2? I had that cam in my last Z28 and liked it. Put down 405rwhp with bolt ons.

original post was a reverse split, as I was thinking about trying something different. Seems everyone nowadays is set on a traditional split. From what I've seen the reverses like the TR236, MTI (X1?), etc. have usually produced good numbers due to the LSx motors being intake restricted. Any opinions on a custom reverse split that will clear stock heads and still make nice power/

Yes it will due to the lsk intake lobe.

Regarding the reverse split, this is my personal views;

Thanks.

That was actually the thread that got me thinking about getting a reverse split a few weeks ago.

Because it will cost about $100 more than a vendor giving a decent discount.

Actually, just doing a bit of research, but why choose this cam over a MS4(239/242, .649"/.609" 111lsa) ?

Comp charges $400. What vendor is selling new cams for $300?

According to Comp's web site, all the LS1 cams listed are $473.44. Speed Engineering has the best prices for custom cams that I have found. PM them if your in the market. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Ahh they must've raised the prices. Call them to make sure, as with all companies.

For 1, the 231/240 will clear at safe margins, not pushing the limits, DCR would be higher, and sligthly better under curve area. More streetable (although tuned the MS4 does well)

Peak HP will be slightly less than MS4

Gotcha. If you don't mind I would like the specs if you can find the time to PM them to me.

Thanks,
