well, i posted about my "blow up" at thet rack last night in the drag racing section. i don't know exactly what happend or what the prognosis is, but the dipstick tube is stuck and it will not come out. that leads me to believe that something is wrong bottom end wise. anyone have this happen? the starter when bumped just comes outof the housing and locks up on the flexplate. so i'm thinking the crank might have snapped or something like that. but there was no BIG BANG. also, the oil pressure gauge reads "0" when the car is turned ot the on position. shouldn't it read somethign?

probably time to take out a loan... happens to the best of us.
feel free to check out my link to see what stuff looked like inside mine with a stuck dipstick tube..
also, drain the oil and see if it is clear/water.
that can tell you right away as well.

When the engine is not running the gauge will not indicate any pressure, so zero is normal. I have a LS1 long block for sale in the classifieds section. It is ready to ship if you need it. Good luck <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
