Default Anyone use Isky Springs???

Anyone know anything about these springs?

Are they just as good as the Comp 918 springs?

Absolute Speed is offering either Comp 918 springs with stock steal retainers or Isky springs with titainium retainter for the same price on their Stage 2 heads.

Isky 295-D's here. I had 918's, but had a failure and got new heads with the Isky springs. I had ~2000 miles on the 918's when one broke. I have 1300 VERY HARD miles on the Isky springs so far with ZERO problems. I have a 6800 rpm rev limiter and have been there several times lately with no ill effects.

You must have that backwards. The Isky's (if they are the 295D's) are one of the most expensive springs to buy. They're $250 from Thunder Racing. JPR uses them on his heads.

Just don't use the dampners that come with them. They have a tendency to break. Do a search for Isky 295D and you will find all the pertinent information.

I have 9000 miles on my Isky 295D's and they have worked perfectly. I am a little nervous on the inner damper breaking but hopefully I will be getting new heads within 6 months and I will replace these springs.

MTI uses those Isky springs on their heads, I've got Isky dual-coils on my Stage 3 LS6 heads.

I've got about 2000 miles on my isky's with thunder 230/224 cam. Thunder sells the springs with the inner damper already removed.

After I broke two duel Comp Cam springs, I move to Isky. Very, very happy with them <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

TR doesn't sell the 295D's with the damper removed anymore. There is a new locater they sell that needs to be installed that fix's the damper issue.

My first set of Isky's have 10K on them and I just upgraded to the 295D's and expect the same great reliabilty from them. If you can get them with titanium retainer's for the same price as the 918's and stock retainer's, I'd jump on it...
