Where did you dyno?

At Thunder or another shop? Was the dyno a dynojet?

Cheers,
Chris

Do you have an LS6 intake?
Cheers,
Chris

ps- I find it very interesting that you are dynoing 50RWHP less than other GTP powered cars dynoed at Thunder.

A guy that dynoed at MTI dynoed 30RWHP less at another dynojet as well with no other changes. (I am not insinuating anything shady by any of the vendors I am genuinely curious.)

Maybe their are differences in the weather correction factors in the programs between dynojets or some other parameter that is different between these dynos that we dont yet understand or have figured out yet...

He may not have all the bolt ons??? also at thunder I'm sure they can fine tune another 10 or so hp..
But hey I only got 365 and 385 in mine with TEA heads 224 cam, but an auto..almost no tuning.
I think his is realistic...not BS

i can assure you it's realistic, i was actually hoping for more than it ended up putting out. the guys @ thunder even expected a little more than that. BUT my car doesn't have "all" the bolt-ons. in addition to the heads and cam, all i have is FLP's(w/ cats)/ corsa cat back and an SLP lid and filter- thats it. oh and the mail order tune by thunder.
also, the numbers you all are seeing from places like thunder, MTI, etc., are from cars that are being fine tuned w/ a wide band o2 of some kind and having the A/F ratio near perfect! mine hasn't had the "fine tune" yet, so the A/F ratio is probably off, and when adjusted will most likely give me some more and put me over the 400 rwhp range.
basically the numbers i've posted are from an '02 ws6 T/A w/ an M6, basic exhaust upgrades, a lid w/ filter, mail order tune(no A/F ratio change)and thats it!

You really have alot left in your setup. If you install the off-road pipes, a cutout, a ported TB, an ASP pulley, and dial in the tuning, I can definitely see the car putting down well over 400rwhp/390rwtq. It's not as far off as it seems. The guys putting down the 420+ hp numbers are the ones with ALL the bolt-ons and a very well tuned car.

That is my point exactly, if you were aiming that to me??? I feel your car is a real look at what most average cars are making with the same mods

For comparison sake, I had basicly similar mods to you TEA Heads, Hammer Cam, Lid, and TTS headers...Stock maf, stock tb, no pulleys, no ls6 intake, no cutout, no orp, no tunning...Basicly none of the bolt ons..And 3.73 gears

The car pulled 365rwhp 358rwtq with those mods...

I've seen a few MTI packages that were tuned in other states at near 0 DA,they also were tuned to a knats *** and put down 415-425 rwhp. I'm starting to think that Texas has some pretty special dyno's

Sounds about right, but with tuning and few other bolt ons you should be well over 400hp. My h/c MTI stage 2, T1 cam put 393 locked and 397 unlocked, it should be a little over 400 but the converter kept locking towards 6000rpm. I pretty much have all the bolt ons, free mods, 3:73's, vig 3600. A4 98 T/A .......waiting for the rain to stop, willhae track times soon..

I'm sure there is definitely more to get out of your car but please don't get caught up in dyno #'s. Simply put, some dyno-jets will just plain out read higher than others. Don't know why dyno's vary so much, but that is just what I've seen personally. And yes, MTI is known to have a "special" dyno facility for its customers.
