Default '02 LS6 Cam with S2 LS1 heads??

How much of a lack of power would this set-up be in comparison to the ASA Hotcam 226/236 with the S2's??

What kind of idle would I need??

The above question would be for the Firehawk.

Thanks!!!

Your trying to compare the LS6 cam to the ASA cam? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

I would imagine there would be as much as a 40 horsepower difference between the two.

I think the 2002 ZO6 cam is a 208/217 duration.

The ASA cam only showed 2 more Hp than the 02 LS6 with complete exhaust, but gained 20 hp over the LS6 cam with open exhaust.

GMTHP had a nice write up when the 02 ZO6 came out.

I think that comparison makes zo6 cam look sweet!
Im curious how fast a well set up head/ cam car would run switching back to ZO6 cam. This would be a 50 state legal setup also.

I doubt it though.

I'd only be willing to sacrifice 15rwhp in going with the LS6 cam for desirable and stock-sounding drivability.

So far, it appears that the minimum sacrifice would be ~20 or even more <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
