I bought a used 382 stroker short block online. It turns out all the internals or good, but the block itself shows heavy wear in 3 cylinders. We may end up junking the block or boring it out more.
My question is what the largest bore we could go and still use the 382 crank and rods, it's the normal forged lunati kit?
Thanks for your help

I think you could go as big as you want by getting it resleaved. check out the new cartek 4.125" bore. 427!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Thunder Racing is close to where the engine is being built, so we might be giving them a call Monday.

I think the stock sleeves can be bored .010 but then you're gonna need differant pistons. May have already been done with the original install also though.

A 427 would be bad ***. Anyone know how hard it would be to get sleeves and how much they cost? If we have to re-bore the block, I'm going for 396 min, since we would have to get new pistons and sleeves anyway.
I just hope Diamond can cut me a good deal on forged pistons, if I have to get new ones.
