i installed a holley ls6 intake on a 99 ws6. i have double checked everything and cannot figure out the problem. when u start the car the idle goes up to 2500. it just sits there. we have checked for vac. leaks and found nothing....any help would be great...thanks
Check to make sure that the throttle blade is closing all the way, if it's not then adjust the cable.

tonite i am going to start by looking again at the tb, then i will look in to the maf. btu the thing i am worried about is that there is a plate that you can remove on the bottom of the intake to do more porting to it. well that plate has a gasket and that might be leaking but i dont really think it is. if all else fails i will pull it back off and reseal the inspection plate.
try plugging the idle air control inlet with your finger or a rag and the car should alomst die. if it really does not change any the u got a vacuum leak some where. if plugging it and the car dies then the idle air control motor is not working properly.

I would look very seriously at the bootom plate on the manifold. I have had trouble with it being to thin and flexing/bending between the bolts. i built a thicker plate and sealed it without the gasket (motorcycle case sealer), all is well now.
