Default Those of you with Absolute Speed Heads...

I'm in the market to upgrade from my CNC S1 heads to something with some more flow. There is a lot to choose from out there with GTP and TEA being the top 2 talked about. Well, I've heard good things about Absolute speed and with the price at less than $1500, I'm really interested. Any input would be appreciated like track time's, dyno numbers, customer support...

Thanks,
Dan

I haven't received my heads yet, but I can report firsthand that customer support is outstanding. Jay is very knowledgeable, and will actually answer your emails. Prices are also outstanding, especially w/ the GP.

I run Jay's Stage II heads with a TR224/112 cam.

My internal stock motor made 327 HP and went a best of 11.62/115.

With no other mods but the heads and cam 402 HP/ 11.04/121.I was tapping the 1-2 limiter so 10s are in the bank next time out. Both dyno's with unlocked Yank 4400 stall.

Give Jay a call at 1-516-987-9392,the call is free so you have nothing to lose.

I am already talking to Jay about a set of LS6 heads and a bit bigger cam.

I'm glad to hear all the positive feed back. Is the GP still going on? How long did you wait for your heads?

JFM, those are some great dyno #'s but those track times are awesome, even with a lightened car. I too just put in a TR224/112 cam and made 390 RWHP with these CNC S1 heads with the TC locked. Do they do 6.0L heads as well?

I have access to a pair of 6.0L heads so I was thinking about going that route.

I do remove the floor mats.LOL.

Take a look in the Drag race forum at the internal stock post for an idea of what"Light"is.BTW,the stock internal best, last time I looked was an 11.30 over 120 MPH.

Weld Draglights with slicks and front skinnies saves close to 60 pounds alone, nevermind the rotating mass gain.Yank verter 20,swaybar 15,rear seat 30,passenger seat at track 30,light weight battery 20,spare and jack 25.That was an easy 200 pounds.

Most who like to drag race have done all this and more.

Yes,3350 pounds is light but not that hard to get.

I am waiting for a weather break to go back and run with my shift point fixed.I am also working out how to get to Cartek for an LS1 Edit/Dyno tune.I think Cartek could squeeze a bit more with a good tune.

That's 3350 with driver though right? That's pretty damn light, but yes, semi easy to achieve if your car is lucky enough to only weight 3350 with out the driver to start with. Do you run a cage? Doesn't Roughhammer have the stock bottom end record with a 10.8 or something like that?

Anyway, I may be placing an order in the next day or two before the GP ends <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
