stage II head question.please help a.s.a.p
what do people think about tbyrne cnc stage II heads with 2.08/1.60 valves.and with my combo: a4 comp cam 224-224/567-567 @114 all bolt on's and hooker lt's 3.73 rear and heavy car?tia.
The valves are huge for a 346ci and will not give you the velocity needed to fully utilize the valves.. I hope I said that right..
Depending on how much is taken off the head your piston to valve would be close.A 2.08 valve is very shrouded the bore size is kinda small for that valve it would not flow properly.

Go for either a 2.00 or 2.02 intake and 1.55-1.57 exhaust valves. These idle better and will also make more power on your engine. Vince can vouch for that. Brian @ TEA
Vince and Brian are on the money.
A 2.08 valve will work best with a bore bigger. A stock 346 won't see much if any benefit from the 2.08 valve.
