I am helping a local C5 enthusiast to pick out the baddest azz heads and cam package that $ can buy. The cartek X package seems to be a leader in this area as it has put 2 C5s (M6 cars) in the tens and all others in the low to mid 11s.

Is cartek using a reverse split cam? Also, this pistons have to be fly cut for p/v clearance and does anyone know the specs on the cam that Cartek uses on the X package which also is putting out on the average 440 to 450+rwhp oh stock bottom end/cubes.

I dont think this is publicly known information, "trade secret" I guess. I believe you are looking at around a 229 duration cam, both intake and exhaust, port-matched intake, milled (probably LS6) heads to a CR well above 11 (maybe 11.7?), and some custom tuning. Possibly also upgraded injectors, oil pump, timing chain part of the deal.

Again, I dont really know, but its fun to speculate, and based on what Ive seen I dont think im too far off. But hey, if someone knows better, pipe in

I have a buddy with that setup near the DC area, and the techs at Pohanka Chevrolet were adjusting the rockerarms to set lash. I wouldnt doubt its a solid roller. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

a few things i can tell you is that they use LS6 heads, the cam is hyd and although i don't know the compression i know they use pump gas 93-94 octane

It's a hydraulic cam for starters. LS6 ported heads. 224/.228 @.050". Lift is around .585/.585. LCA is 113.

What you won't figure out is the ramp speeds <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

1 3/4" long tube headers, #30 injectors and great tuning and awesome driving!

Those are NOT the specs on my cam,I checked them using the cam # on the cam itself...

What is the compression on the heads. I would assume around 11.5:1? Is there something different about these ported stage II LS6 heads that make them different than some of the other major tuners' ported stage II LS6 Heads?
