Burning 1/2 Quart of Oil in 100 miles....Opinions on this please....
Before I got heads put on the car it was burning the "normal" 1 quart per 500 miles...I recently noticed that its now burning a 1/2 quart every 100 miles...
What do you guys think about this..
Anything I can do to stop it... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Are you sure that you're not leaking oil? A full quart every 1000 miles sounds WAY excessive.
What kind of oil do you use? If you're using 10W30 full-synthetic, switch to 10W40.
Have you checked your throttle body blade to see if oil is getting into your intake?
Are you getting any smoke from the exhaust?

He is burning half a quart every 100 miles!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
That is FIVE quarts in a thousand miles!!!
I think you should call MTI and get your car looked at IMMEDIATELY.
Could be valve seals, bad rings or a improperly installed/functioning PCV.
Cheers,
Chris

There are no leaks, not a drop anywhere, I've looked all over..
The intake is bone dry, I looked at that a while back....not a hint of moisture in the intake...
I have had people drive behind me and all they say is that I get the little carbon puff as soon as I stand on it, thats just all the exhaust getting thrown out the back really fast...thats more of a darkish smoke...
I'm not buring a drop of coolant...
Everything else is good...
Should I replace the PCV valve?

I would guess its the rings in your motor but there isnt a lot of smoke which makes me second guess. Something internal if you have checked all the other things like intake and PCV.

My motor has only 14,100 miles on it....it runs pretty strong, idles smooth, doesn't have any sort of knock, even when its cold...

Boy this is a first oil will not just travel up past the rings when the car sits over night.I will bet the valve guides are worne a couple of thou is more then enough to cause this problem get the guides checked by who ever done the heads. When rings are shot car will smoke during acceleration not after it sits for a while.

There was a compression test done on it before when I thought I bent a valve on my old heads...
The compression was fine...

Yank the intake. Get a flashlight and look down to the intake valve. You just might see oil sitting on the valves. This would be valve guides and/or seals. I had this problem with my new GTP's that I am now getting fixed since GTP does not stand behind their product. Hopefully MTI will if those are new heads.

One thing that I have noticed recently too is that when I stand on while doing about 10 mph with the oil pressure around 50ish it will drop back to 40 (idle pressure) then jump up real fast to the normal pressure, probably like 60-65-70....
What would that mean?
What would that mean?

useing a synthetic oil can cause oil consumption. and what that does is the oil is past the rings and is burning it .how ir does it is that the oil is really slick and doesnt let the rings wipe it off the cyl. walls. whinch in return does not the motor perform to its best.

I also use a qt. of oil every 100 miles, and my car has 16k on it. I have rigged a catch can and while it is not filling the can with the whole qt. it is getting some oil in it. I used all kinds of oil (now using Royal Purple) and there was no difference.
Mine started right after the cam was installed and I recently had a leak down test done and the shop told me my motor was good.
However unlike your when I get on it it smokes blue smoke big time. I am still trying to resolve mine and just living with it.

Here is a topic Wizkid posted a while back about his buddies car smoking after a cam install. Maybe you could page him and see what the final outcome was?

You could keep guessing and asking people who don't have all the details to tell you what's wrong or do as I mentioned above, do a leakdown test, and a compression test.
