Anyone have the TR 227/224 Reverse Split???????
Just have a couple questions:
hows the idle?
What kind of HP does it get with stock heads?
What do you shift at? M6
What kind of 1/4 mile times?
Thanks,
Collin

If you do have headers and idle at 750 it sounds a bit meaner, but nothing too crazy. Thats part of the reason I like it.
Power on stock heads? Dunno. I'd guess it could vary anywhere from 375-390 depending on the car (with headers and offroad pipes).
I shift at 6600rpms.
My dyno is here:

But I dont have headers or a catback or anything so your results may vary. Obviously I could make a lot more power with headers. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
If you want a cam that lopes a lot, try the 230/224 111, if you want a cam that lopes a little, get the 227/224 114.
I personally don't want lope, I want the car to perform, not SOUND like its performing. Closer it sounds to stock the better IMO.
How does the 227/224 114 compare to the 224/224 114? Is there much of a difference, or nothing really noticeble? I like the idea of a 114 for idle quality, but I'm not sure how the intake duration would play on power and driveability.
I've had both cams in my car and the 227/224 seems to idle and drive just as good as the 224, the 3 degrees extra intake duration dont seem to affect drivability at all. Most people could drive this car and never even know it had a cam, it drives that well.

I want something that I can hear lope with the cutout closed.
I'm thinking maybe a 227/227 112 LSA custom grind
