Next year I'm going to be getting a cam. I really like the TR 230/224 cam. It makes great power and lobes hard like I want. The only problem I have is how high you have to rev your motor when your racing. I don't want to have to be rebuilding my motor any time soon. I would like to know what you guys shift at (M6)? Also what would you shift at with the TR 224/224/ 112 LSA cam? Sorry for all the qeustions but I really need to make my mind up on which cam to get.

Hey Verbs! Did you have to do anything special to get the engine to go 7000 rpms? I'm not sure what mods you have. Just curious if this is a 'built' motor or just a spring change necessary type situation.

Man 6,800-7,000 seems really high. Do you really think a stock bottom end is going to last that long reving that high. I really want that cam butt that kind of rpm's is scarying me. I would also be getting a new timing chain also. Also I would have 4:10's by then and I know they recomend more gear for that cam. I just want to hit that 400 rwhp mark. What should I do? I'm just a little confused on what would be the best cam for me.

Well I think I might just change my mind and get the TR 224 112 lsa cam or maybe get a custom one made up for me. The 230/224 is what I want but I don't have nearly enough money to buy a new shortblock if the motor goes.
