Default 500-600 hp......

Is there a LS1 or LS6 based crate engine or engien package out there that can put out between 500-600 hp? I am looking towards a crate engine utilizing the C5-R block. But most importantly, I want the engine that is proven to be very reliable, I intend on driving this vehicle between 12,000 and 15,00o miles a year in traffic and on long trips. I do not wish to forced induction or nitrous. thanks for all the help.

is that rear wheel horse power??

there are plenty at that range running mid 500 ish at the flywheel.

lot to expect from a "race" engine with 600 rwhp and then to be run 15000 miles a year..

about 550 flywheel, sorry i didn't state this previously. I am wanting to know if any of the kits out there can hold up to 12,000 miles a year and long trips with traffic. I do understand that tuning and maintance play and important role. Would it be easy to get this much horsepower out os an ls6 with out nitrous, or forced induction? I am new to the V8 seen as I am used to driving around a dodge stealth, I just need some advise.

but 550 flywheel is gonna be about 450-475 on the wheel. thats is an esimate only.

lots of em around here with that and more. should be easy to achieve.

my opinion is to use a proven combo and you should be fine. minor maintenance might be needed.

and that is still alot of miles each year for a car of that caliber in my opinion.

the engine will go in a 2800 pound rx7 that will be street driven reguraly and I am hoping for high 10 sec 1/4 mile time slips. What kind of horsepower on drag radials would this need?
