I assume that you are wondering about the purpose of lightweight valvetrain parts. A lighter valvetrain will allow your engine to rev higher if your engine is strong enough to rev higher without breaking. The purpose of revving higher is higher power. Lightweight valvetrain components help the valves follow the cam profile at high engine speed. At very rpm valves tend to stay open, a condition called 'valve float'. Lightweight valvetrain components are very expensive - '02 LS6 hollow-stem valves are $40 each. The total cost of 16 LS6 valves, springs, and seals is over $900. Titanium valves are lighter than steel valves but are super expensive. I hope this helps.
