the stock ls7 cam is 230/231 .591/.591 with a 1.8 rocker i believe. they seem pretty similar
ls7 cam is nowhere near that big on duration, its like a 212 duration on the intake.

well, the 918's will handle it no problem, but Id recomend duals myself cause I dont like hearing about all these broken 918's and the possibility is alot bigger to drop a valve.

I'm getting my T2 kit along with alot of other mods I've collected over a year put in right now as a matter of fact. I'll have a lid, full bolt on exhaust, pulley, ls6 intake, SFC's, LCA's, PHR, and new clutch to go with my existing LM2. I'm expecting my M6 to be a basically a new car with 400rwhp I hope. Get the PRC dual springs.

You guys won't beleive this. Replacing the valve stem seals today, Comp 918 slipped off the spring compressor, fell on the floor, and the first full round of the spring on top broke off! WTF?!?!?!?!?!

Well I use to have a after market lid but it was warped and not sealing and I like the look of the stock one. Plus I cant justify spending $100+ on something thats only going to give me 10 to 15 HP, the only reason my car has a LS6 intake is because it was free

How did you justify $600-$700 for 40hp then

$100 dollars for 10-15 is AWESOME....guess you'll never be putting on a FAST 90/90

Here's my T2 numbers:

Well, I can say that despite my misfortune with that one spring yesterday (took me a day to cool off and I ordered two new springs in case I break another), I am very happy with the 918's matched with the t2. There is always room for debate, but I do know physics pretty well and more friction = less power. The higher pressure dual springs will cause more wear on the cam, bearings, and lifters and absorb some power compared to the beehive springs. The coil bind on 918's is .625 I think and the t2 goes up to .598. Technically, your better choice would be the 918's for maximum power. The duals would give you "better" springs and more room for safety, but at a cost.

Exact reasons why I went with the 918's.....I don't drive fast or shift past 2k rpm 99% of the time either, so I'm sure they will hold up better than most

I know, I know. TONS of people have used them with no problem. but for me, Id just rather not chance it. and thats as you said at the cost of a few ponies.

i'm running the V1 torquer and am very pleased with it.

i don't even have that great of a tune on it, so it surges at idle and also at about 1500rpm driving.

but the power and sound are great. not to mention i still knock down 25-26mpg highway driving, and 18mpg mild city.

here is my dyno chart...you can see where the clutch slipped on the top end.
ALSO...this was through a dynomouth exhaust, and before the roller rockers and w/ the stock clutch/flywheel. i'm sure with just the exhaust, rockers and clutch setup that i'm at damn close to 400rwhp...probably more with a better tune.

Lol thats the most retarded thing Ive ever heard. If you spend 700 bucks for a cam swap to gain 40 hp but wont spend 100 to gain 10 then I just dont know what to say.
