AFR, Trick FLow and ETP are all excellent heads. I know Trick Flow you have to run after market roller rockers which are more money to add. AFR's stock rockers are all you need. Im not sure about ETP heads.

Honestly, I feel all the aftermarket head castings have reasonable prices if you look at what goes into them and what you get out of them.

I am with him. You are basically paying a little piece of their millions of dollars R&D.

trick flow has been putting out some really good numbers with the right set up lately.

You really can't go wrong with ETP, TFS, or AFR.

And dont forget about the darts either, like I said earlier, I feel that all the aftermarket castings are priced accordingly and the darts are perfect for someone who dosent want to use a stock head, but dosent want to throw a lot into an aftermarket head either.

ETP can use the stock rockers too if you buy the rocker pedestal for $100.

I will be doing TFS 215's also.
Hell i know people that payed 2700 for hand ported Stage 2 gm castings.
So i do not think the 215's are over priced at all imo.

TEA now does an LS6 stage 2 casting for 1320 bucks (less the price of 243 castings which you can buy new for 400 bucks from patriot) called their Trickflow killers. When I emailed Brian, he said they flow as much air and use the same VJ/valves/spring setup.

So for 1720 bucks you get a TFS equivalent head, just no thicker deck and increased PTV clearance. But then again you save 1000 bucks over the TFS heads. Just another option.

We have yet to see that head make power equal to the Trickflow's. Even though the flow numbers are close, I feel the Trickflow has an advantage with it's improved plug location and flatter valve angle/chamber design. Notwithstanding that is a killer head for the money.

Thanks for commenting Mike. I hope you didn't read into my post. I wasn't saying the LS6 castings would make more power, that's a given as you have a blank sheet of power with a new casting. Just saying they are similar to an extent.

You guys have any more results besides the auto car that did 10.80's at 126? I am going with these heads and am looking to pick up quite a bit from mildly home ported 806 castings.

What cam did the car in question run btw?

Marty
