TSP cam question
hey i tried searching, but cant really find the answers i was looking for.
I'm thinking of purchasing the TSP 224R (224/224 .581/.581) cam and was wondering about the LSA's. I cant decide whether or not to go with a 112, or the 114. The 112 says "choppy idle" and the 114 says "smooth idle." Well how choppy is choppy, and how smooth is smooth. I will unfortunately be running without a tune for probably a month, and i dont want to have to rev it up at idle to keep it running, but i want a noticeable lope to it.
opinions?
oh by the way i will be daily driving this with my 98 ws6 that will have LT's, TD's, Lid, smooth bellows. And I dont care about gas mileage, or any of that bs because thats for people who dont want to go fast.
I wanna go fast.

i will be keeping stock heads for probably another year- year and a half. I do daily drive the car, so it needs to be easily driven. However, i really love a nice lope, but again i dont want the car to stall out, or need to be feathered at idle. I figured a 224 would be a good driveable cam, but give me decent power. Would something like the TSP228 be better suited for this, and still give me good driveablilty on the stock tune?

well i meen with a smaller cam you SHOULD have it be a better drivability car but i meen it all depends on the person but some guys on here are driving their ms4s on stock tunes for over a month so i meen its all up to what you can handle

you should not have any issues with a 228, but you should always car test first to make sure you have no PTV clearance issues...
also, you will have to upgrade your heads with dual springs, bases, retainers, and pushrods whenever you do a cam swap. also you need to upgrade to an Ls2 timing cam and Ls6 oil pump...
