Default Cam Suggestions..

Thinking about goin with a bigger Cam, a couple of people have said I should.
My idea originally was the TSP MS3 Cam, 237/242, .603/.609, 112 LSA
I am thinking about changing that to the TSP MS4 Cam, 239/242, .649/.609, 111 LSA

The Heads have huge Intake Valves(2.16"), and pretty much normal size Exhaust Valves(1.59"), for those of you that aren't familiar with the L92's. I have them milled down to 65cc Chambers already.
Car is goin to have a Yank SS 3600 Stall, 3.73's in the back with 26" DR's.

What do you guys think?

Either of those cams sound pretty good. Just make sure to get a really good tune with a cam like the ms4..it will make a world of a difference, esp since you're an auto. And just from reading people's opinions on here, the consensus seems to be that they wish they went bigger from the beginning. Might want to try posting this in the internal section as well. Good luck.

Those are both good cams but you might want to check yuor piston to valve clearances. You will probably have to flycut the pistons so that the valves do not hit.

I'de get a cam designed for the L92 heads not LS1 heads unless you want sub-par results...

Depends.. those Heads and that Cam look like a good match, alot of people were sayin MS3 until I told them how the Heads flowed, then it was suggested to me to get something with high-lift and a lower LSA..

I have it on a 110lsa and I freaking love it, I have stage 3 LS6 heads forged 346, and plenty other mods and this cam is sick as hell, I have it in my M6, I have the MS3 in my auto with a 3400 stall and that car is sick as hell too. which ever one you choose I promise you will be happy.

I thought the L92 were another head that showed much better results with more exhaust bias? I would check into that before ordering either of those cams.

I talked with my Tuner and he said it is very nice to do, and alot of people recommended similar profiles to the MS3.. I'm just opening up the Intake side more since these Heads can flow it..

Just remember, the L92 head is a different animal than the cathedral port LS1 head. Valve events that work for a cathedral port don't always work for the L92. The L92s are very sensitive to intake valve opening point. If you open it too early on the overlap cycle, you run the risk of having your exhaust run right in and reduce your power. Seen it lots of times now. Best bet is to limit the overlap to 15 degrees at .050" and close the intake valve between 50-52 degrees ABDC on a 402.

239/244 .649/.612 114+2 LSA (LSK/XE-R)

VEs @ .050 will be close to this (I rounded off for clarity)

IVO>8
IVC>52
EVO>58
EVC>6
ECL>116

Alright.. I don't know all the little things with Cams, so help me out..
Up on the one above, does that all mean Intake Valve Open at 8*, close at 52*, etc..
What is that all going to do, my Compression Ratio is goin to be about 10.8:1 when it's done, so I need a Cam to fit that.
Any way we can bring the LSA down to bring the Power Band down..

You're going to want to run more than 10.8:1 if you want to run any decent sized cam in your car or its going to be a slug down low.

So how will that work for me..10.8:1 is about the highest I can get it right now without smacking the Valves.
Basically what you guys came up with it the MS4 with a little more LSA, cause it uses the same Lobes. What would be a difference then in the higher LSA?

Predator illustrated the valve events. The difference is, it would actually work well with L92 heads.
