Once, my check cleared I went on a little spending spree. Most of everything that I've ordered so far has arrived. I'm waiting on two more shipments of parts and then I'll let the cat out of the bag.

Well, it's on. I received five boxes of parts today. Two were for my 93 and the other three were for this car. I'm running out of space to store stuff in my garage.

The funny thing is that everything, but the nitrous system I bought off of the for sale section. Pretty much my whole engine with the exception of some valvetrain parts have come from the for sale seciton.
Let's see if anyone can figure out what I'm building.....
Pictures:
These were the first thing I paid for once my check cleared. I got some really nice Jesel lifters. These things are super light and weigh in at a scant 84 grams each.

Hint number 1 = Does that look like a normal lifter?

After I bought those I found a great deal on Ebay for a Nitrous Express SX2 nitrous kit. The kit new is $1899.99 + shipping, but I managed to get it for $1067 shipped brand new in the box. The guy didn't even open the box to look at the parts and it's all still wrapped in the original packaging.

It's the 8 solenoid system with a 15lb bottle. The valve looks different than the normal bottle valve. It is a NX DF5 valve that uses a -8AN feed line.

Here's what the nozzles look like:

I had previously bought six of them and was planning on piecing together my own kit. I'm selling these 6 now really cheaply. You can click the for sale link in my sig to check them out amongsth the other stuff I have for sale. That part is pretty obvious, but guess how much I'm going to spray?
Hint 2 = As much HP as GM rated the 2001-2003 LS1 Corvettes at.
About that time I also bought a set of 16x8 chrome 5 spoke wheels. I plan on sending two of them out to have them widened to 16x10.5. I want to run MT 315/46/16 et street radials.

I need to get another one. The guy told me one of them was pealing. I told him to send it to me any ways, but it doesn't look that good at all. It's the front one. Anyone know of a place that sells the center caps for these or chrome ones?
A little later I found a member on here that was selling some rather odd engine parts for a really good price. I snatched them up instantly and they all got here today looking even better than I anticipated.
New crank:

Hint 3 = Look at the crank snout.
New front cover, oil pickup, and oil pump:

Hint 4 = Doesn't that oil pump look different?
New oil pan:

Hint 5 = What are those weird fittings on the side of the pan for?
Continued onto second post.....

The last thing I got was a brand new set of Wiseco pistons. They're the exact same ones I was planning on buying, but I got them BNIB for a lot less than I would have paid.

Hint 6 = They're part number K394F3. That's an easy one.
I got these a long time ago in the parts for sale section. They're 806 heads, but see if you notice anything out of the ordinary with them.
Chambers:

Spring Pockets:

Pushrod Area:

Top of Head:

Yes, those are 806 heads. I was going to be sneaky about it, but now that I have certain parts I'm not going to be able to hide what I'm building.
For those of you who haven't cheated by clicking on the properties to look at the picture names or don't want to figure it out here's the build list:
- 408 Iron block
- Wiseco Pistons, Lunati Pro Mod Rods, LS7 Crank
- LS7 Oil pump, pan, front cover, and correlating dry sump system
- Jesel lifters and adjustable rockers
- 3/8ths pushrods
- Solid roller cam
- Comp 26089 springs, titanium retainers, and spring seats
- Ported 806 heads set up for solid roller, o ringed, guide plates, cut for 1.550 springs, clearanced for 3/8ths pushrods, etc....
- Super Vic intake
- Elbow --> 105mm tb --> 100mm maf --> 85mm lid
- I want kooks 1-7/8ths --> 2, (but I might end up with straight 2 inch primaries) --> 18 inch extensions (for now) eventually 3 inch duals out the back without mufflers or cats
- ATI C5 super dampner with .015 milled off the back to line up with my stock accesories
- Stock water pump (for now)
- Spec V clutch
- 2x 255lph fuel pumps
- 42lb / hour green tops
- Spohn TA
- Wolfe offset LCAs
- My own aluminum rod ended panhard rod
- 4.10 gears in the ten bolt ....
- BMR tubular k member and a arms
- Hal QA1 R front shocks with 300lb springs and Hal Qa1 shocks with stock rear springs (for now until I get the 9 inch and mini tub)
I think that's the basis of it all. I know there's a ton more that I can't think of right now because I'm being rushed, but if I forget anything I'll update it tomorrow.

^ I don't really have much to update because I have no money. I'm parting out all of my LT1 stuff and trying to sell off a bunch of the extra parts in my garage. I'm going to use the money that I make off of parting out my LT1 engines to put an LS1 / TH350 in my 93. All of the rest of it is going into buying parts for this.
For this I'm going to get the heads finished first. I'm probably going to have the intake seats swapped out so I can run 2.08 intake valves. Then, have the intake guides swapped to 7mm and start ordering some parts.
I know that's not a very exciting update.

^ I have changed my mind a lot on this. At least 4 times that I can think of. For a while I was debating on using my low compression pistons and putting my 95mm turbo on it, but decided against that because of the much higher costs. This setup with the 408, dry sump, solid roller engine is it though. I'd love to use an L92 block, but I refuse to spend any more money changing my mind.

Yeah, it hasn't quite turned around yet but it is getting there. I'm guessing it's going to be another 6 months at this rate before I get this thing moving. Hopefully, I'll get some money for Christmas, my birthday, and then my tax return. Granted that's all a really long ways off.
I got them from someone who decided to go with a 4.065 set up instead and got a really good deal on a set of pistons himself.

I've been slowly saving up to buy parts for the car to get it moving again. I'm going on over 20 months since this thing has blown up. I've made a few concesions in part selection to get it running again. I now only need around $4500 to have it completely running versus the previous $12000. I just want to get it moving and actually be able to drive it.
I'm going to save the LS7 dry sump setup, 806 heads, and use them for the 408 I am building for my 93. I managed to get a K1 forged 4 inch crank and set of K1 forged 6.125 rods for $504 shipped not too long ago. I'm going to use the K1 crank in this engine, but I'm not sure what rods. I have a set of Lunati Pro Mods and the K1s. I've also picked up a few random nitrous parts along the way. I have 85% of the parts I need to put together a dry direct port.
I have everything planned out now and am making this my priority after paying a very patient member who I owe money to for one part. I just want to get it to a decent step where it will be nice, make decent power, and fun to drive. It will also let me sell off my 95 which will give me extra funding for this and my 93. Then, when I get more money to throw at it I can change out certain parts geared more towards what I originally wanted to build.
I really want to thank RedTtop6spd. He gave me a ton of parts today for free that are going to help out in getting my car running again. I still have to unload everything from my car, but it will be well worth it.

I remember when you started this thread.. You've come a long way my friend
I blew the trans in my 98 10 months ago and I miss the damn thing everytime I look at it sitting in the driveway.

I'm working on it. I bought a set of CNC ported 806 heads from Katech when they were running their 20% off sale. They are at TEA now getting a VJ, throat cut with hand blending, and 2.04 intake valves installed. I just talked to Mike at TEA about them today. They may be receiving some extra work if I can get something lined up.
I also picked up an extra black hood for my car. I plan on running a Vic Jr. with a good 90-110* elbow on it. I knew it wouldn't clear my stock hood and I didn't want to hack up my Mystic Teal one. I was looking for another mystic teal one, but I knew that I was 99% not going to be able to find one so I settled with black. RedTtop6spd also helped me out again and sold me a 3-->4 inch y pipe with a flowmaster merge.
I have a trade / purchase lined up that I am working on for a 408 short block. It's right around the price (little more) of what it would cost me to finish my current setup. I just need around $1200 more which I can hopefully get lined up by the beginning to middle of next month. If that works out I'll have my long block done and I'll just need most of the bolt ons, clutch, fuel pumps, and a few random parts.
It's getting close, but is still a long ways away from running. I've been thinking about taking out a $6000 loan over two years. That would get this car running the way I want it to be and I'd have a little money left over to put into my 93 or paying back the loan. At 5% it is right around $225 which is way less than I spend on parts per month now. I have a few things I need to figure out before that with another vehicle and my plans. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer.

Another update is in order. I have some new pictures of the parts I've acquired in the past month or so.
Here's the extra hood I picked up in the back of my 95 since everyone seems to get a kick out of the fact that I move all of these parts in it:

This is the 3 --> 4 inch y pipe I picked up from RedTtop6spd:

I also have a lot of money coming in around the middle / end of next month. I have a short block lined up that I will buy if it isn't sold before then. I should be able to have my heads done by then too so I should have a complete long block to drop in. I'll still need around $3000 in parts, but at least I am making some progress.
I also put up a new items for sale thread in the link in my sig. I'm already mowing through items on it so check it out.
