Just bought a used cam, what is the next step?
I bought a used cam, 228/232 to be exact to replace my MS3 (too large, good track cam, if anyone is wondering)
Anyway, I wiped it up yesterday after UPS dropped it off, and it appears to be just fine...I can clearly see where it was making contact with the lifters...all looks well, no scratches, etc...
Anyway, I was wondering if I should swing by a machine shop to have them polish it up, or clean it up a bit? Maybe get it cam doctored to confirm all of the specs...
Or should I just clean, oil, and install?
THANKS!
E

numbers were slightly high, but not off by much...
car was running PIG rich, and was on a halfway tune..trust me...
tuning was done by a non sponsor...highly recommened though
