Whats the most bang for the buck as far as hp?
Just got my first LS1 Trans Am...well first LS1 period. And I was wondering what was the most hp for the buck besides nitrous or supercharger. Let me know. I'm coming off of a 95 camaro to a 99 Trans Am WS6

In my opinion it would be a torque converter since your sig says A4. It really isn't adding horsepower but usually drops .5 sec off your 1/4 mile times

...I agree with getting a torque converter for your A4.
Also, you can't ever go wrong with power/$ ratio on nitrous..

It probably doesn't get any easier than nitrous. But I did nothing but an MS4 to '00 WS6 (of course with new valvetrain) for a year and enjoyed it. Made it much more fun to drive in my opinion. It's a bit more money, but we're talking bang-for-buck, not cheap.

Man a 3200 Vigalante would do you right. I do most of my driving on the road and its like there when you need it. You remember the saying walk softly but carry a big stick. Check around and see which sponcer can do you the best. I'm sure a Yank is probally just as good but I've never had or driven a car with one so I can't tell you about something I don't know for sure. But I just sent mine back for a free cleanout/restall because of tranny problems and I told to leave the stall speed alone. Its as close to perfect for a duel purpose car as I have ever had. Now you need to check out the Jeg gear package and slide you some 3.73 thick gears on that series 2 carrier. Dirt cheap.
If you don't have the money for the stall just a set of 3.73s would be like nite and day.

Torque converter, no question.
Get a Vigilante or a Yank and I'd personally say a Yank 3600. It sounds like alot but will be very streetable. As soon as you get a 2800 converter you'll wish you'd have gone bigger. 3400-3600 stall is perfect yet real aggressive when you want it to be!
OH and its a straight foward bolt in and go Mod. Also dosent kill gas mileage. I'd do a tranny cooler too, cheap insurance. It'll drop .5 in a qtr mile scenario which is like what 80hp?

dont bitch out, get a 4000 stall. i did, i daily drive mine and i drive slow as funk, and have lock up at 45 still and get 18 mpg (stop, go, and some highway). If you put lockup at 25 or 30 id imagine it to go into the 20s. im still fully untuned bolton stalled A4.
Fuddle makes a good bang for the buck stall i got one
