I recently had my 408 re-tuned and the torque was quite disappointing. This was on a mustang dyno. 457rwhp @6600 and 397tq @5500. The car drives great now and i couldn't be happier with the tune. I'm just thinking with everything I got in the car the numbers might be better.
6.0l bolck, 10:9 compression
251/251, .670/.670 on 112
Mahle -12cc pistons
Livernois stage 3 heads w/64cc chambers
Vengeance ported FAST 90
Nick Williams 90mm tb
42lb. injectors w/ racetronix pump
ARH 1 7/8 headers. no cats
Z06 TI catback
M6 w/ 3:90
Textralia exo-skel
I'm trying to get the cam card to calculate the DCR. I'd like to up the compression to 12:1. I've considered pulling the cam and trying some TFS heads, but cash is tight at the moment. Any ideas?????

you could definitely use some more compression but your numbers does seem alittle low. i would have thought your peak tq would have been somewhere around 5100-5300.on a dynojet you (should) be over 500 rwhp with that setup with 480+ rwtq imo. take it to a dynojet and see what it puts out.

Damn thats a big cam.
Numbers are low even for mustang dyno and the low compression like SLOW TRAP Said you should get at least 500hp and 480tq.
How well does the Zo6 catback flow I think you need to think about another Catback check A couple of threads down in the Dyno Section VENGENCE 440CI he gained 50rwhp or something from droping the ZO6 Catback.
Good luck and keep us updated.

I only get a chance to drive this car abouit 1000 miles a year so it is not a dd. It does have very good street manners with the new tune though.
slow trap, the torque was up to peak around 4900 (396) and then carried until peak at 5500 (396.7)
Predator z, if i get the cam card could you give me some more help? I was hoping that bumping the compression would help but i'd swap the cam if needed. I had originally asked for something 244/248 on a 112, but was told the 251 stick matched well with the heads.......

i'm at 11:7 scr and only around 8:7 dcr with a 244/248 cam on a 110 +1 so you should easily be able to go to 12:0 or so and still be very streetable. you could advance your cam 4 degrees or so and it should pick up quite a bit of midrange.
