Well I have a 98 SS A4 and the cam you are looking at. I like the cam it netted me 362.9 rwhp and 362.2 rwft/lbs and the car is my daily driver. See my sig for my mods.

do you mean .581 lift?
Comp cams has the 224/224 with .563 and .581 lift on 114LSA's
I have the 224/224 .563 114 cam in my A4 and she pulled a 11.50 cam only at the track so i love it. It took some tuning to get my idle perfect(i have LS1 edit). Some guys just have to raise ther eidle and drill the TB and thats it. I had to tweak a few other things.
I dont have any dyno numbers cause im not a dyno fan. The only dyno i like is the track :-P

for a A4 the average cam only numbers are 355-375, usually 360ish. M6's see the 380-408 hp numbers cam only
for stock heads I remember reading that .581 really wont get ya much more over the .563
If you plan on doing heads later the .581 would be good. Im getting heads anyday now so ill see how she does with heads and that lift. .563 or .581 are both awesome

Well for an A4 car with just a cam and headers 360ish rwhp is normal. Also keep in mind that 360ish rwhp on an A4 car equals about 415 horsepower at the flywheel. That's assuming that an A4 has 15% drivetrain loss where a M6 would only have about 10% drivetrain loss.
I got the higher lift cam because I plan on doing some head work down the road and a blower maybe in the works to. I would recommend that if you go with the .581 lift cam you should probably install the titanium retains to lighten up the valvetrain due to the aggressive natural of this cam.
