There are many really intelligent, helpful members here, along with a few idiots. If you want help from those whose advice is worth listening to, you need to think out your posts a little better, and look through the wealth of information already here. As smart as some of these individuals are (not me), they cannot read your frikken mind.

Easy fellas! We've all been there at some point!

Shoot me a PM or e-mail with what you have in mind for your car and we'll see what would suit you best! We can do from mild (basic, budget 346 LS6) to wild (450+ cubic inches, big compression, etc).

Texas speed has some good deals on engines, but shipping is a lot.
SCPC also has great deals, and better shipping.

If someone wants an intelligent answer, though, they need to include some intelligence in the question. If drewbster absorbs this criticism and then puts a little more thought into future posts, I am sure he/she will receive much more helpful replies.

let me elaborate further on my previous post . there are a lot of good reputable companies to the right that do engines and warranty the work . all you got to do is go down the list and find out what works best for you .

not trying to leave anyone out but i know first hand that mti does some good work and if you got the cheese katech will hook you up on the real .

How much can you afford? How fast are you trying to go? Are you just looking for a stockish replacement?

There are a lot of options when choosing a new engine. Basically you have to set your goals and be realistic with your budget. Give us more info on what you want out of it and we can be more help.

Forged 346 short block will go $2500+
Forged 383 stroker can go for ~$3500+
LS2 402 forged stroker go for around $4,200+
LS7 427 shortblock can go for $6K +

Stock cubes you can keep your heads & cam. Larger motor will need additional parts, Heads, cam, injectors, etc.,

Race motors do not have much of a warranty. And most will not warranty it unless they install it.

Give a site sponsor a call and talk with them. let them know your goals and let them lead you in the right direction. Call a few and get a good feel before you make any decisions. I would post in your local forum. Find a local shop with a good rep. If you go with anything but a stock replacement, you will need a tune for it.

I hope this helps. feel free to shoot me a pm if you have any specific questions.
