this is what worries me... this is cylinder number 5 and 7 they are equal as far as height....

and here is the lifters they are fine...

first pic is kinda blurry but it looks like you may have had piston to valve contact

And some piston to head contact, though it does not appear severe so I would hope it is only a worn bearing, but could possibly be a spun bearing.

missed that part forgot to scroll> but you can see valve contact on both pistons, what size cam did you put in this thing?

UPDATE: ok i found the problem, it was the dowel pin, on the cam and the sproket was completely loose and all 3 bolts. everything is fine and the motor is turning over by hand... now what should i do. should i put everything back together and clean it back up. and throw on a set of stock 241's?

Nope. You need a rebuild ... You probably have bent valves at the least. And judging by your oil plug, there's more problems. Spun bearings etc...

With that much in the pan, your crank is scored and anything that holds oil, like the lifters, oil pump, etc. has shavings. Sorry

I'd guess if your cam gear came loose and the cam dowl came out, your timing went wacky, and thats why your valves hit your pistons and wouldnt let the motor turn over.

whether thats related to all the metal shavings, oil on your spark plugs and all that i dunno.... but pulling the head wont do anything. the pan needs to come off. willing to bet theres a lot more shavings inside there.

Just pull the motor and see what happened on the bottom end, you will be wasting your time if you put it back together like that. Not to mention your flywheel and pinion on the starter are probably banged up pretty bad. Look at it on the bright side you have an excuse to put a built motor in it. Good luck

Tear the motor down and post pics. With that much metal in the oil, no telling how much damage it's done. Might as well tear it down completely since you have most of it taken apart anyways.

It should not change the way you drive; rather the way you swap a cam.
