Sorry for the hijack but just to update on the 228 114+4 on my 98. We tuned it speed density and it runs beautiful just a tiny bit rougher than stock with no surging anywhere. start right up and idles at 950. Only problem is the no MAF is putting the car in limp mode causing it to default to low octane spark table and it will not lock the converter ever. Looks like I have to go back to MAF. Anyone got any tips ??

I have the 228R on a 114, a friend of mine has it on the 112. We have the same year car with about the exact same set up. Nothing notible in cam idle or performance to write home about. I actually dyno about 10 RWHP than him on the same dyno the same day, but 20 minutes apart

you'll be fine

The difference between my 112 & Phil's 114 is my torque comes on a little sooner. The tune will make the difference in street manners.

Really I think our HP differance is your magnaflow exhaust.

After seeing both cars idle, if I were to do the 228 R again, I chose the 112 over the 114.
