My friend's friend put a cam similar to that in his 'vette (240/244). It made 440/390. It's too big of a cam and, in my opinion, better suited for a bigger cubed engine like a 370.

If you line it up dot-to-dot and given in a stock application (stock heads and gaskets) it yields a DCR of 7.00. That is extremely low and comparable to the MS3 or MS4 cams who are also known for their low torque power. I believe the MS3's and MS4's can produce DCR in the low 7's also.

As you can see, it provided minimal torque gain in my friend's friend's car. It was also was a ZO6. His DCR should be right around 7.26 in his application.

If you really want this cam. The only way to make serious torque is to mill your heads to 59 and run .035 head gaskets and degree the cam on a 110 ICL to acheive a modest 8.35 DCR. Be forewarned, you'll most likely need to flycut.

wow, thats a moster cam. My buddy has the MS3/prc 2.5 combo and his is even a dog up until 4k so I couldn't imagine this cam. Unless you are going all out racing but still, not for me.

I have a similar cam in my 408 and it's still a bit of a pain even with the bigger cubes eating it up.

I liked that cam.....If I'm correct on what car I'm thinking of, those numbers were on a Mustang Dyno as well.

Forged 383 241/245 645/633 114 + 4 relatively good street manners for a fairly large cam.

Ya Mike from Straightline tuned the car. It was a red 'vette with black CCW rims.

I DD my T-rex 242/248 608 612 110 and I love it. It pulls hard as hell. Horrible on the gas mileage though.

i run a 240/250 .650/.617 110 + 2 in my 370 and it drives perfectly fine. I wouldnt believe people when they said they had a big cam that drove just like stock, but after i was done tunning my car it would start up and drive about 95% like stock.
