Most will say any non synthetic, but its best to talk to the person who built it.

Thats what I did on my motor install....then just change it out with a nice synthetic (like german castrol) after a few hundred miles.

I have heard this multiple times as well, but would someone please take the time to explain why this process should be taken? Thanks

Thr reason you are told to break-in a motor with dino oil is because the synthetic is "for a lack of better words" more slick, and it slows the break-in progress. A motor needs to start a wear pattern and that is what most people refer to as a "break-in". Also I have always been advised to use the dino oil for at least 1000 miles. I do not claim to be an oil scientist. I have worked with thousands of brand new motors on motorcycles and this is what the factory reps all said. Hope that helps.....

Sure did, thanks I appreciate it. Make sense now and makes me feel kinda dumb now for being so obvious, lol. There are only dumb answers, not questions................ now what do you mean by the engine breaking in, LOL. Just kidding
