Default Are these heads too much for a street car?

I have a 2000 firehawk m6. I want to buy some patriot stage III heads that have been milled from 64cc to 59cc. The valves on them are 2.08.

No they are not too much. Your cam will have a bigger part in determining what is "too much."

depending on the size of the valves they could be to big. just because they might bolt on doesnt mean they arent to big. i believe 2.02 is the biggest valve you want on stock bore size. air will not flow as well into the cylinder if the valve is to close the cylinder walls

this wouldn't raise my compression too high?

the heads are only 1 thing that deterines compression ratio, flycutting the pistons and gasket thickness and other things are to be taken into account

Not sure you can use those heads with that cam without fly cutting. check with Patriot. They are a board sponsor and verry willing to help.

I'd bet that you would need to flycut to use those heads with that cam. Aftermarket valves stick into the combustion chamber further, add in larger diameter valves, and that the heads were milled probably 0.035", and you will have some PtoV clearance issues. Can it work, maybe, but chances are good that you will be very close to eyebrowing the pistons.

Flycut the pistons, and then you can run the cam, and use a 0.040" gasket to raise you dynamic compression which will help the low end and raise your torque numbers.

MS3 is a cam designed to be the biggest cam you can put in an otherwise stock engine without flycutting. The bigger valves, and probably milled heads, will require flycutting. No biggie. The MS3 will pull like a mother.

I would consider porting your stockers and running an MLS stock headgasket with 0.005 milling just to clean up. You should be ok with that, technically, but you sure want to measure and make sure.
