Default Whats the deal with GMpartsdirect.com?

Anyone know whats up with GMpartsdirect.com? I ordered 2 headbolt kits from them on 9/9 and it is already 9/22 and the order status says "on order".

I assume that means they were out of stock and have them on order....but almost 2 weeks go by and they havent even received them?
Has anyone else had a similar experience with them?

Don't use them. Had a slow shipping experience with them. I'd recommend SDPC but i'm not sure if they're a forum sponsor.

Most of the stuff they sell is not "on hand" inventory. That has been my experience....

SDPC is our exclusive GM dealer sponsor, and they are always on the board.

Good luck canceling your order, GMPartsdirect has a crappy cancellation policy, even if it takes them forever to ship. I've got an order with them right now too that I'd love to have in my hands, but my hopes aren't high to get my parts anytime soon. But look on the bright side, they are CHEAP if you can wait for your parts.

I wouldn't buy **** from those jerks! They screwed me on a PCM. By the time I found out it was bad, they wouldn't even give me back the hundred bucks for the core charge.

F them!!!

There have been several businesses already mentioned. Exactly which one are you referring to?

I have used them plenty of times with about a week turn around. I would try to call them. For bolts however, It is always best to just go to the local dealer. After you add shipping costs to an order it comes out to the same price as it is at the dealer. And less wait.

If you're waiting on the '04 GM head bolts, you might be waiting a little while. They are on a slight back-order from GM currently

We might have a few sets left in stock, call me Monday and we can check into it for you! We also stock the ARP head bolts and studs. While they do cost a bit more money up front, they are not torque to yield bolts so you can re-use them in the future if/when you do another head swap!!

ws6store also has them I think I have dealt with them several times and have had nothing but great experiences. Not saying anything bad about SDPC, just have not ordered anything from them as of yet

In the past month or so I've used SPDC three times. Very impressed.
