Default Bent aftermarket pushrod?

How likely are aftermarket pushrods to bend? I'm talking the Hi-Tech ones from comp cams... Just curious, I searched but didn't find much. Thanks.

They aren't very likely to bend at all. All the people I've seen miss shifts that have them usually take out a valve or two and kiss the pistons. The pushrods are hardened so they don't bend with the excess spring pressure. Compare that to stock setups where missing shifts and bent pushrods are pretty common. Do you have a problem and think that's it or just a general info question?

The Hi-Tech ones will bend. But you have to have serious issues before they'll give any.

Thanks for the responses. No I don't think it's the cause of any issues, I was merely curious for my own knowledge, thanks.

You'll more than likely bend a valve before you bend a hardened pushrod.

why get hardened pushrods? wouldn't it be better to bend a pushrod than a valve?

Well its not good to bend either, but, with big lift high rpm cams you have to get hardened pushrods beacause stock ones will bend right away if you spin it up high enough or have a spring that has alot of seat pressure.
