Its a 224/228 114+1 its going in a 99 corvette a4 full bolt on withs patriot 59cc heads. Looking to get 400 at the wheels. What do you think

Says it will hit peak hp 100rpm later. Im a newb to cams i was thinking it would idle harder too? I could be 100% wrong cause he has the exact cam i want without the +1 at the end.

Well, I will honestly not lie to you b/c I don't know the exact difference. Yes power might hit, SLIGHTLY higher like you mentioned. Honestly though, the difference will be so minimal and I bet if you were to drive a car with the only change in the cam of that +1 advance that you wouldn't even notice. I was always told a degree here and there, lift, etc. won't make that much difference. Maybe all of them combined but the above example to me isn't worth sweating. A cam guru maybe able to help out. If it makes you feel any better my buddy has a newer Vette than yours and said he'd slap it in if I wasn't going to. Good luck on your choice though!
