TSP Torquer-2 (232/234) on a full bolt-on car?

TSP Torquer-2 (232/234) on a full bolt-on car?
Okay guys, I've been reading, searching, and reading some more for the past several hours trying to research a new cam for my M6 firehawk with all the bolt-ons..
I am liking what I have been reading about the TSP Torquer-2 232/234 .595/.598 Camshaft, I have been leaning towards a 113 LSA, because I am worried the 112 LSA will just be too aggressive..
My mods are in my signature below...
Besides a new rear end and with some gears in the future (15-16 months)and of course re-tuning the car, this will be the last modification on my car.
That means stock clutch, stock fuel system, and stock intake setup (LS6), ect...
Am I thinking too big with my daily driven car with my current setup?
How good will this cam be for a daily driver cam only setup?
I would also like to see near 400rwhp.

I dont think keeping the stock clutch with any cam is really a good idea. . . .have you thought about an ls7 clutch? It would be like stock, but would be much stronger. Other than that I think it would be an awesome cam. It is actually the cam that I plan on getting.

I agree that it's all in the tune. I've had mine for about 3 weeks, but I have to go back to the joke of a tuner for the third time, otherwise I'm happy. TPS issue, now a cam surge around 40mph when coasting. It is a rocket at from 4,000 to 6,400 rpms. My only "issue" is there is no low end power and I don't have a stall. And by the way, she loves the spray.

Would you suggest a 111LSA on the TV2 or are you saying just get the TV3 instead? Also if your saying get it on the TV2 would you still get +2?

the lower the lobe separation angle (110, 112, 114...etc) the sooner the power will peak in the rpm range.
so for more power in the low rpm range you are better off with something in the 110-112 range....
that is why alot of people complain about how high the power comes in for the LS6 cam....because it has something like a 117.5 LSA
increasing the LSA will smooth out the idle and also reduce emissions (i think) due to less overlap. that is why factory cams are designed that way. so with a lower LSA you'll have better low end power, but at the cost of a choppy idle.
my 112 idles nice...even with poly motor mounts it really doesn't vibrate much.
so for more power in the low rpm range you are better off with something in the 110-112 range....

Would a 113LSA have less power in the low rpms than my stock cam? I don't want to be wasting anymore gas than I have to driving around town, if I am understanding this correctly.. I don't think so? I don't think I fully understand what difference adding a few degrees will do to the drivability, idle, or powerband..

Does anyone think that the torquer 2 cam won't be a good choice for a cam only setup on a daily driven car? .. And do you guys think that the 113lsa will be WORSE THAN STOCK down low? These are the questions I really need some input on. Thanks. -John

i have a torquer 2 with a 112 lsa and i daily drive it. It's fine for me. it is a little of a slug down low but when in the powerband it pulls hard. but it does buckle under low rpm a bit which i don't mind at all. im pretty finicky when it comes with the car, i like to have the best of both worlds, lots of power but still have the creature comfort of being a daily driver and drive long trips. this cam pretty much suites my liking. if u worried about too much lope, just stick to ur stock exhaust and get an electric cutout. most people doesn't know im cammed unless i open my cutout. heres a soundclip to give u an idea.
btw i dynoed 391rwhp 362rwtq through stock exhaust and 407rwhp 372rwtq with open cutout. keep in mind this is through tsp catted y-pipe stock tb, and ls6 intake. theres some extra hp if i deleted my cats and port out my tb
