Mods include ASP Pulley, Direct Flow Lid, FTRA, SLP Maf, Shaner S2 Tb, Hooker Long Tubes, LS6 Intake (car is an 01), Open hooker headers at the time with collector extensions, stock rear (now lanes 3" true duals with x pipe and flo pro twister muffs and 12 bolt with 4.11s), Zr1 17x11s in back, LS1 Edit SOTP tuning by me.
They didn't have a wide band so I don't know what my a/f ratio was but I can't be that off.
I really like the area under the curve of this cam with a stock short block that I don't want to spin more then 6400.

Nice results! Great torque and area under the curve. How are the driving characteristics? Bucking, surging? Where is idle set?

The cam does not buck under 1200 rpm at all when warm, cold it acts stupid until about 1800 rpm. Even when I had 3.42s it lugged along just fine in 6th gear at 1400 rpms. I set my idle at 850 rpms.

Not with a 106icl. The intake centerline, which controls the intake closing point, of a cam is probably the biggest determining factor in the rpm where peak power occurs in the ls1 when we are talking about cams with the same or similiar duration.

When you are not spinning the motor to 7500+, tq is hard to beat for max accel. Track times will be soon to come as soon as we get some decen gosh D@mn weather.

Good thing you have a 12 bolt with that much low end torque. I bet you can pull some 60' times with this cam.
Did you have to fly cut the pistons? How much clearance did you have?

Interesting. I would love to see if more intake duration with the same exhaust lobe would extend the topend power...

Damn, I think that is the most torque I've ever seen in the 3000 rpm range on a non-stroked LS1
That is a badass cam! Is it a custom grind? You wouldn't have to rev that thing past 6200 rpms

Those are some amazing numbers. Cam has moderate lift and duration and makes as much power and torque as the radical grinds. Also it does it at lower rpms. From the high torque numbers it looks like the cam timing is a perfect match with intake and long tubes.
Nicely done. I remember people were doubting because the large advance and narrow lsa.
