Yea my oil was changed at 500 and 1000 miles and never made it to 1500 miles. Neither did my heads that cracked or the new cam shaft that they replaced.

can someone explain to me oil consumption in a forged bottom end vs cast bottom end? Im assuming forged has less clearance between the walls, but I thought nowadays Forged parts have gotten better PTW clearance.

Forged stroker here. Close to 8500 miles. Uses virtually no oil. I was told it was broken in with Dino oil then switched to Redline synth, and now Mobil 1. Super tight, bounce it off the rev limiter and no oil use or blowby detectable.

1200 in my forged 347 now! I had bad oil consumption at first, then I changed my oil, burned a half quart in 100 miles, and it hasn't burned any in 500 miles so I think it's good.
