how's the idle of a tr224 112
just wondering how my 98 m6 ss is going to idle with a tr224 112lsa? car has all bolt on's and mac headers and ory. stock heads. BTW do you think this was the right choice and is it possible to get to 400rwhp with this set up? thanks for any info. p.s i hope the idle is kinda rough i want that cammed car sound.

You can check my sig for my mods w/the TR224/112. It sounds real good. It doesn't lope reallll hard. But you can definantly tell it's there. I give it a big thumbs up. It doesn't have crazy lift #'s either. So your valve train will last longer and take less of a beating from daily driving.
Good luck.
John.

I don't think you can get to 400 rwhp with stock heads and that cam. I am thinking of this cam too, but 400 is a bit too much wishfull thinking.

Re: how's the idle of a tr224 112
Its a really nice cam......I had to set the idle at 850 RPM to make it not die at the light when I slam the brakes (still in the process of tuning it). I would like to get it to idle down at 600 RPM if I could (I like that really hard lump lump lump sound) but that probubly won't happen.
The only thing I would like different would be perhaps a 110 LSA to make it lump more.....I don't really care about low end torque (3.73 gears and I'm a road car so launcing is not a concideration) so the strong lump would be really nice....but I'm definatly happy with it.
