no, really, when it was altogether, SOTP dyno was not totally happy, so went up to the big one. and, now, i am really happy. if it is not high 400rwhp, it is up there. it has power everywhere!

Default Works perfectly!

I just finished pulling mine, Use the Chrysler harmonic balancer puller from autozone with the short extension rod and put a short 1/4" extension down hole in the crankshaft, worked great and didn't damage anything.

if you cant get it off easily with a standard 3 jaw puller.. then you are doing something wrong...
hardest part is getting the jaws to grab the tabs on the balancer and get tension on them so it doesnt fall off... just takes patience and a little time to get it situated

I use the standard one with arms that can be rotated for smaller pulleys and two different positioning holes...less than $12 at orileys
cant remember the exact size of the one I own, but this is an example for you

I've done dozens of cam installs and used this puller every time to remove the balancer

I also have a bolt with a smaler head than the normal crank bolt... that I put in the crank snout that I have drilled a small dimple in for the tip of the puller to push on...

Harbor Freight now has a puller that has jaws that fit are shaped like the serpentine belt. The jaws fit right into the pulley like they were made to fit because they were. No slippage.

After reading this post, I checked the pullers on the HF web site, not sure which one you're talking about, all I saw were the usual POS pullers. Can you post a link to it?

Mike
