Default dumb questions from an LSx dummy

I know zero about LS motors but have a couple questions.

What I would like is a 4.8L with an aluminum block. Will a 4.8l Vortec rotating assembly just drop right in an LS1 block? I know the bore on a 4.8l and 5.3l is 96.01mm, is the standard LS1 bore the same?

Thank you.

not sure about that, but why the hell would you want to put that in an LS1 block. It's built by the hands of God!!!

Why change ur internals? Did you break something? I'm guessing high mileage, spun bearing. Just go forged pistons, crank and rods and enjoy.

I have a cam only LT1 right now that runs just fine.

I would like an all aluminum 4.8 LS based motor and am looking for the easiest way to do this. I thought an LS1 block may be my best choice, but I don't know if it will accept the 4.8 stuff.

Yea, be more descriptive on why you want a 4.8. The LS1 has been around for a lot longer and would easier to find parts for. I'm quite on curious for why the 4.8.

Okay---

Picture 2 engine stands.
Stand on left has factory stock 4.8l Vortec shortblock assembly, stand on right has factory stock, bare 5.7 LS1 aluminum block.

Can I remove the crank, rods, and pistons from the 4.8l and install them onto the LS1 block. Will it fit? Will it work?

This is what I'm asking, I'm not real sure how much more descriptive I can be.
