gasket should match the bore in the block I believe. Slightly bigger will reduce compression ever so slightly smaller cant be good.

no, use the 6.0l gaskets. the gasket needs to match the bore of the head to seal correctly...

Are you guys positively sure on this, because I installed Patriots LS6 " style " heads on my LS1 and when I ordered the head gaskets from Texas Speed, I told Jason what I have and he said the 5.7 gaskets would be ok . I don't seem to be loosing any coolant but I have not ran the engine hard yet because I haven't got it tuned yet . I am going to pissed if I have to pull the heads because of this .

Whether it is the head or the motor you should gasket the bigger bore. So if the head is bigger bore, you gasket that and if block is bigger bore you gasket that.
Although the heads are 6.0, that doesn't mean that they are 4.0 bore (like old PP heads)/
Basicaly always gasket at least .030 over the biggest bore you have.

Predator-Z, I was hoping you would respond. Do you think I will be ok with the 5.7 gaskets or do I have to pull the heads and use the 6.0 gaskets ? Chriswtx these are the 035 castings that patriot welded up and then cnc'd them .

Those could be 3.905 bores, in any case it will work NA. But if you ever have to pull the heads, better go with the bigger bore way.
See if your heads are 4.0, then you gasket is showing in the combustion area and that can lead to hotspots (detonnation) or could just blow.

Predator-z, my heads are the 3.905 bore chambers so I think it will be ok but I agree with you, if I have to pull the heads for any reason , i'll use the 6.0 gaskets.

On a 346/347, you should use 5.7L gasket, either MLS or graphite (few poeple still use these).
