CA Smog Legal Cam & Head Packages Making Around 450hp or More Are their CA Smog Legal Cam & Head Packages Making Around 450hp or More?
im looking to have 420+ at least to the wheels with LT's and intake on a LS1
im new to heads and cam swapping so i was looking for a set on which i wont have to "fly piston cut" because i dont know how to lol

Ummm im not to sure there are any heads and cam packages you can get past the sniffer or visual that will make over 420 rwhp. There are ways around CA smog... My car is smog legal

Define CA smog legal? Do you mean legal as technically or just the sniffer? LT will not pass legally, but if they do not do a visual and you have cats you will stand a better chance. Also, for this to happen it will be a pricey package, as you will need to purchase all of the supporting mods (ei: EWP, UD Pulley, FAST 90/90, etc ...). A manual will stand a better chance of reaching that number, versus an auto.

well good luck with that man. if u wanna legally pass smog then its gonna be hard for u to do that. everything will pass smog its just who u know
im sure it can be done just gonna take allot of reasearch and be willing to spend allot of money

A bottle of nitrous would be a good means of making this happen. It can be removed for the smog test much more easily than LT's.
Another approach is to supercharge the engine. I assume this is an F-body, so you would have to go with one of the smog legal Vortech kits. Otherwise, Magna-chargers are smog legal for several other applications.

id be happy with 420+ with intake/lt s/tune
i know LTs wont pass smog but my plan is to just swap out the headers every time i smog
does anyone know of any sets of heads and cam that would go together or come as a pack that could get me around what im looking for?

and superchargers cost alot of $$$

If funds, space, and time permitted, id leave the stock motor in to pass, pull it for a much nice motor everytime, thats only way to beat it. And HOPE when you do get pulled over and officer wants to check everyone of your CARB #'s that you dont have to get reinspected.
