POLL, plastic or aluminum version of FMS intake?
He said this intake will be good for engines over 6.5k...so, that means for most of us it would not add anything to a H/C car with stock cubes.
The graph supports this, showing an increase in very high RPMs only. I'm not sure a non-solid roller can safely spin this high...(?)
Lastly, from Absolutes recent numbers of the ls6 intake flowed with heads, it looks like the ls6 intake is a bottleneck at all lift specs. Thus it is not able to support good heads anywhere in the lift range. This new intake looks like it has the same characteristics, except it doesn't bottleneck at high lift/RPM like the ls6 intake.
So, I'm just thinking this intake will work really well on the application listed, that's all.
So I will be talking to some sheetmeatl intake manufacters and work with them and will try to have some more info soon.
On the subject of working on normal hydralic H\C motors, this intake is not a short runner intake which will hurt midrange torque to a degree. Please just understand,we are listing this intake as a race intake.
We should be done with final testing on various setups soon, and will post the results.
Cam specs...240\244 solid roller
