Default stronger internals?

i plan on getting some forced induction, so what are some good internals that i would need to insure a longer and more reliable life for my car? im only looking for about 430hp-480hp, so things like valves, springs, etc. should do it. which would be best for just a stock cam and a supercharged or turboed engine? i dont think theres any need for forged pistons, crankshafts, or rods for under 500hp.
thanks for any and all info....

the stock crank can handle about 900 hp the rods well break if you going over 500hp or going to revving over 6,500 rpm piston are god to 500 hp

Just depends on your budget , some people get away on stock internals for awhile some break pretty quickly , need make sure you get a good tune and get a/f verified on dyno either way you go.

There are plenty of guys making more than 500hp on stock pistons, and almost everyone revs stock rods to well over 500hp. There's absolutely no reason for you to spread such lies.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

For the bottom end, I would do a forged piston and stock rods. Upgrade the rod bolts if you want.

I would do some -18cc dished pistons, and while your in the motor, you might as well upgrade to some h-beam eagle rods... (if your not planning on running over 5-8psi) I would go with stock bottom end, until it Blows... and IT WILL.. hahah

trtturbo.com has H-Beam them for 385 I believe...

I would go witha nice dual spring and some tit. retainers

Also.. Alot of people have gotten some good use out of an z06 cam with FI... But you can also get a much bigger cam grinded for FI... Theres usually 1-2 in the Forsale section!

Good luck with the build!!!

im just repeating what iv herd many people say over and over on this site.

-don't rev over 6,500 with out upgraded rod bolts
-rods pistons good tell 500 hp
-crank good to 900 hp

im sure some people have taken to the extreme but for the most these are good guide lines to follow

Yeah, some people play with fire and make light, while others just get burnt. I think most of us are talking about the standard deviation of the MTBF curve. I'm looking at how far (fast) to spin the bottom end and I too have read over and over here...it's also good to hear some of the empirical data gained from the thousands of trial and error scenarios here.

yea im trying to maintain a budget and trying to do it myself, so pistons and rods is starting to get out of my price range. but im going to go with patriot gold dual springs, Titanium retainers, Chromemoly push rods, new vavles, and some new rockers. but i might as well ask turbo or supercharger? and hopefully that can handle 7 psi and about 480hp.

I hear that some aftermarket rockers aren't any better than the stockers. I stayed with my OEM ones, but they also only had 10k miles on them. I went with 5.3 heads and a medium Cam (F14) It sure feels like I'm making lots of power. I can't speak to longevity yet, but we sure spent our time paying attnetion to details, I hope it pays off. I did this whole project for under $2k, but I've been collecting parts for years and my heads were built by a friend that has his own speed shop. This week when we executed the project I only spent about $300 out of pocket. I'm lucky though as my brother and I were both able to take a full week of vacation to det it done. I can see why shops charge over $3,000 to perform a head and cam swap...you've gor $50 in bandaids alone.
Personally, I'd like to go for a Fast 90/90 and a set of Kooks clamped up to my SLP CNE setup, of course than my fuel injectors won't keep up so they'll have to go. The fuel pump will need help too and then my 10bolt will be a ticking time bomb. That much power will need a better clutch too...yeah, I know what you mean about budgets.
