the things i was hearing was like the bottom end power was not good.there is to much lift on cam its over rated etc.. your normal hater stuff. i brought the cam anyway it was in my m6 z28 now i put that motor in my vert 2001 z28 i never had it tuned and broke rear in my 98. so i love it untuned so i will be very happy tuned. see around here in new orleans everyone wants a thunder cam or a futrel cam i just wanted diff. so thats where the hating began dont get me wrong i still use (thunder cams Pat G) and jeff at thunder does all my tunning. its just people round here are brain washed lol

So then it is definately worth buying the cam?

What type of max lift are your springs. Cuz i think, if I am not mistaken that the ms4 has like a .649 lift. Just curios to know what you put in it?

i know bigger is not always better, but i wanted to say that i have one of the biggest cam's you can put in a stock ls1... and if you ask me, 7.35 in the 1/8 with et streets and 275's up front and everything still hooked up... i think the cam shows its power.

no i do not DD my car, but with the current tune, car is a VERY good driver. so yes i would DD it, but this cam is hard on some parts.

Is your buddy in his vette, running the MS4 cam? and what size heads? Same question to you, what size heads are you running? I know 5.3, but which ones/stage?

he's running some ported TEA LS6 heads...very nice heads, actually outflow mine.

I have some stage 1.5 5.3 TEA heads.

We are both fast 90/90 cars with about 11.5 to 1 CR.

Yes he had an MS4, took it ou for a diff Patrick G cam, lost a lil on the top end but gained all through out.
