im putting together my new motor bacially stock bottom end with a torquer 2 cam. im just about to put the heads on and i wanna make sure i have the right gaskets i got them awhile ago on a miss order, and never sent them back figured they were ls1 gaskets but i wanna be positive. cause it covers some of the holes on the head idk if thats how it is or not also whats the best way to clean out the bolt holes cause when the bolts torqued to 22ftlbs its like 3/4 the way down so theres gotta be stuff in it

look right to me. just put them on the right way and clean out your head bolt holes, theres coolant in them i bet. You get the right valve springs yet?

I don't understand exactly what the question is on the bolt holes. A little background, torque is about 85% thread friction, are the threads clean? Don't chase them with a tap it they are not, first check that they are clean. Will a bolt without any head or anything in place run down by hand until it bottoms in the hole (no wrenches here, by hand only)? If not, you need to address the threads prior to assembly.

I hear a lot of people will grind a slot into the side of an old head bolt and thread taht in and out a buncha times and it cleans the junk out of the threads.

Those are factory mls head gaskets, compressed, they are at approx .053,a real good GM gasket.run your compression calculator if need be to get it right for these gasket. For the bolt holes,i used brake cleaner and compressed air, took WD-40 and an old cleaned bolt,''sprayed threads on bolt only'' and ran through a fiew times and cleaned again with brake cleaner and air.Hope this helps.
