Default afr 205 vs tfs 215??

So, is a person giving up noticeable port velocity and bottomend manners by going with the tfs 215 versus the afr 205? Or is the slightly larger intake port volume not going to be that noticeable?

I am wanting good street performance as well as all around performance. We all know that the two heads will perform closely up top but will the afr 205's be better for the street on the bottomend?

The AFR 205 will be your best bet for low mid range power. It is hard to be AFRs 205 for broad torque.

I don't think you can go wrong with either head. I bought the TFS, just because I bought them months ago and not many people had them yet. unfortunately, the rest of my motor isn't ready yet so I don't know how they are gonna perform. Now, many people have had great results with both heads.

I don't think you can go wrong with either but I would take the TFS 215's out of those 2.

I would go with the AFR's. Smaller runner, and you won't need to buy longer pushrods or new roller rocker arms. The TFS are very nice heads, but I have seen over the last couple years here the kind of awesome customer service Tony Mamo has given his customers, and someday I'll be bolting some AFR 225's on a stroker when my stock bottom end goes. I also like the Patriot Predator heads and feel they are in the same category.

You dont have to buy longer pushrods with TFS.They come with them and good rockers is a good idea anyways.
Both heads are very nice but the TFS consistently make more power. They seem to have the slight edge right now.
Either way you will be more than happy.

Does anyone have any statistics between the two instead of this and that is better? I would like to see some solid numbers between the two.

I wonder if the decreased valve angle of the tfs 215's compensates for their 10cc bigger intake port volume??

I think I remember the TFS heads flow a bit better at low and mid lift and the AFR's take them over 600 lift. I got this on TEA's website. Somebody please correct me if I am wrong. Basically, they are both top notch heads and you can't go wrong with either one. Eenee meenee minee moe!

I think you might have it the other way around. The tfs 215 flows ~ 320 @ .600 while the afr 205 flows ~ 300 @ .600. But like you said, they both sound good. I definitely like the extra small runner of the afr but the decreased valve angle and better top end flow are nice of the tfs head.

adding fuel to the fire.
how does the dart 205s rate to these heads?

and is there really THAT much low end loss to make 225s a bad choice for a 346?

How? What car have you even seen them on? And what track times did that car run? Because as of right now, I've seen no results from these mythical heads.

Not being a *****, but how are you the only person on the planet with enough data on them to make such a bold statement as placing them with proven performers?
