Question on bare Dart 225s
#21
Nope, sure won't! The valve guide ID on the 144460-16 is .505. The Dart 225 that I have has a guide with a dual diameter. The top where the seal installs is .500, but right below that where the spring locator installs it steps up to .560.
Crane 144460-16 as far down on the guide as it will go:
Dart 225 valve guide, bare. The .560 step is easily discernible:

When I disassembled my Darts, the valves were stamped with a Rev part number although they are actually made by Eaton. As I remember, they were the top of the line drop forged valves according to the Rev information I found.
Prior to installing the Crane 833's, you may want to pick up some shims as well.

Great feedback, thanks. In the future, you may want to look at Isky Cams #6 Micro Shim Kit. I'm extremely **** and like the small increments this kit provides.

I have the Dart Pro-1= 255cc runners , cc'ed by Texas Speed, and mine has 8mm valve stems 2.100" int & 1.60: ext. valves, and the valve springs & seats I use is the PRC Platinum springs .670 lift. that fits in the stock diameter spring pocket.and there spring retainers fit over the valve guide to.

I'm using the Dart supplied valves, even had them Mikronited by Crane. According to Jeff at Dart they are manufactured by Basso S.A. in Argentina. http://www.basso.com.ar/productsi.htm

Dart part number: 2320051
or
Futral Motorsports part number: FMS-3988
Both have the following dimensions:
OD: 1.240
ID: .565
Spring ID: .652
Thickness: .060
I purchased them from Futral Motorsports because of price and availability. Allen was very helpful.

I would call Alan Futral at Futral Motorsports, but I bet you will have the same issue I did. You will need new spring locators, but the springs, retainers, and locks should all work.
