Default information on cadi lifters vs. stock/ls7

ok so im done to purchaseing lifters for my heads and cam. and i cant deside if i really need the cadillac racing lifter or just some stock replacement ls1/2/7 lifters for considerably cheaper.

what exactly is so nice about the cadillac lifters besides that they have been tested to 8000rpms? are they light weight? etc?

thanks,
ryan.

i have tried the search feature above btw.

Buy LS7's as they are stock replacement and are cheap. Cadillac lifters seem to be more of a gimmick than anything else.

thats what i was thinking. but if anyone has an specs on them they might be worth trying. i normally use oem replacement lifters on some builds but i figured why not try them if they have something more to offer than stock.

I'd go LS7 Ryan.

The only thing I've heard about the Cadillac lifters is that they are good when you spin your motor to the moon. You will be running at like 6800 max right?

yea 6800 would be my max. and the cams peak is at 6400. so im thinking just going the ls7s.

but if the caddi's were light weight i would consider it. less valvetrain weight.

Definitely.

Did anyone find out if they are lightweight or not?
